FAQ
Does Bluetooth have to be activated to use this app?
Bluetooth needs to be activated if you use the app with Pebble Watch, Apple Watch, or Bluetooth tracking devices; otherwise it is not required.
I love it! I’ve rated it – twice! Yet EVERY time I use it, it asks me to rate it. Super annoying.
We ask you to rate our app for each released version. We do it on purpose: The App Store resets all reviews after a new version of our app is released. The review you left is only good for the current version, not for the newer version. The review score is critical to our app on the App Store app store. Thanks for your support to rate and for rating us for each new release!
I just bought a tracking device on Amazon; how do I add it to the app?
Tap “+” button on the top right corner of the Things tab, then tap the device type you wanted to add, then follow the instructions on UI to add the device.
How do I remove a thing from the list?
Swipe the bottom bar to the left or tap the white arrow on the right of bottom bar; the action buttons will appear. If the thing is removable, then there will be a delete button on right corner.
Does the separation alert work off of Bluetooth or WiFi separation?
Bluetooth
What if I wanted to remember the location of a store that I just went by or something I stored in my garage?
Just tap the “+” button on the top right corner of the Thing tab to add a record. Here you can take a photo of the place or the stuff you wanted to remember, and mark its location on the map. By default, the app will drop the pin to current GPS location; you can drag and drop the pin to anywhere you want, or long press anywhere on the map to pin the location. You can also make some notes about the location and its floor number.
How do I add my Pebble watch to the list?
You don’t need to do anything to add your Pebble watch to the list. Our app automatically gets watch info from your Pebble app and adds it to our list.
I’ve stopped using my Pebble watch and would like to remove it from Things. But none of the usual methods seems to work.
Ya There is no easy way to do it because our app automatically gets its watch list from Pebble app. As long as your old Pebble watch is remembered by the Pebble app, our app will get it. AFAIK, the Pebble app doesn’t give you an option to forget an old watch. For now, the only way is to uninstall PEBBLE app and then install it so that it “forgets” the old watch. (If Seek still “sees” the Pebble, uninstall the Seek app and reinstall it.)
Can the app help me find my Apple Watch?
Due to the limitation of Apple Watch, our app cannot help find your Apple Watch.
I put the app on my Apple Watch, and added an a tracking device; yet all I see on the watch is to try and find my iPhone, not my keys with the tag.
Our (Apple Watch) app only supports finding your phone from (the) watch. Other features are not supported yet.
What do I need to do to let the app remember my parking locations?
If the “Automatic Parking Detection” feature of the app is turned on, and assuming that you do carry your iPhone when you drive, there is nothing you need to do for the app to remember your parking locations! Here is how it works: In the background, the app uses the motion sensor on your iPhone to detect if you are driving or have just parked your car. When the app detects a parking event, it will use the GPS on your iPhone to record the current GPS location.
If “Automatic Parking Detection” feature is NOT turned on, or if you wanted to manually add a parking location, just tap “+” button on top right corner of parking tab and follow the steps to create one.
Most times, when I stop at an extended traffic light, it marks the spot as if I parked. Can I can move the pointer to where I actually parked minutes later?
Yes you can! Just tap a parking record that you wanted to change, and tap the edit button on top right corner. In edit page, you can move the pointer to anywhere you want! You can also make a note of floor number, take a photo of your parking place, and so on. Just go to the edit page and check it out!
What if the app didn’t detect that I just parked my car?
If you want to create a new parking record manually, just tap “+” button on top right corner of parking tab and follow the steps as indicated.
I HATE that every time i stop at a stop sign, or even slow down in traffic, about 100 times a day, you ask “DID YOU JUST PARK YOUR CAR?”
This notification is turned off by default. If it is turned on, it can be toggled off in the parking settings page: Parking Tab -> Settings button on the top left corner -> Parking Confirm Notification. You can find many other parking notification settings on this page.
Regarding false parking detection, we are improving it continuously but it is very hard to make automatic parking detection 100% accurate. We also noticed that the accuracy of automatic parking detection varies with iPhone models and car models.
How do I take a picture of my car’s parking location?
After parking your car, tap the parking record that was just generated automatically, then tap the edit button on the top right corner. In the edit page, tap the image area on the top to launch camera and take a photo of your parking place.
If the app didn’t generate a parking record automatically, tap the “+” button on the top right corner of parking tab and follow the steps to create one.
I parked at a place with a parking meter. Can the app help me remember when the parking meter will expire?
Yes! Tap a parking record and then tap “Set Timer” to set expiry time of the parking meter. The app can even notify you when your parking meter is about to expire and when it has expired. Go to the parking settings page to check out options related to parking meters.
